Many states offer additional subsidies — purchase incentives (Gujarat, Delhi), road-tax waivers (most states), registration exemptions, and old-vehicle scrap bonuses. These stack on top of FAME-II.
Section 80EEB of the Income Tax Act allows a deduction of up to Rs. 1,50,000 on interest paid on EV loans — effectively reducing your EMI cost by your marginal tax rate.
