What is Cell Chemistry (LFP vs NMC)?

The chemical makeup of battery cells — affects cost, safety, and lifespan.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells are cheaper, safer, last longer (3000+ cycles), but have lower energy density (shorter range per kg). Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) cells have higher energy density, but are more expensive and degrade faster. Tata Punch EV uses LFP; premium EVs often use NMC.
