What is Charging Time?

How long it takes to charge from empty to full.

Total charging time depends on battery size ÷ charger power. A 40 kWh battery on a 7.4 kW charger: ~5.4 hours to full. On a 50 kW DC charger: ~30-45 min to 80% (the last 20% takes longer to avoid battery damage). Manufacturers quote charge time typically as 10-80% on DC and 0-100% on AC.
