The Mahindra Xev 9e comes equipped with a 59 kWh battery pack that delivers an ARAI-certified range of 542 km on a single charge. In real-world conditions on Indian roads, expect approximately 461 km — about 85% of the claimed figure.

City driving actually gives better range (484 km) thanks to regenerative braking recovering energy during stops. Highway driving at 80 km/h reduces range to 424 km, while speeds above 100 km/h can drop it to 359 km due to increased aerodynamic drag.

Seasonal conditions also play a role. In winter, the Mahindra Xev 9e's range can drop by up to 20% when the cabin heater is active. Summer with AC on typically sees a 10% reduction. Spring and autumn offer the best range due to ideal operating temperatures for the lithium-ion battery.

For daily commuters driving 40-60 km/day, the Mahindra Xev 9e provides 9-12 days of driving between charges. With India's expanding fast-charging network, long-distance trips are increasingly feasible with planned stops every 200-250 km.
